February 2020:
Invited into the LGBTQ+ Health Initiative, alongside 17+ stakeholders, to co-design a survey to measure equity within organizations
April 2020:
Gathered with a smaller group of stakeholders to finalize and distribute the organization survey, review data from individuals, and determine how to share survey results which informed the plan for training and technical assistance for the following grant year.
May 2020 – December 2020:
Designed individual organizational survey response reports.
November 2020:
Launched Equity Committee sessions, engaging organizations across New York State
February-March 2021:
Facilitated 3-part Design Lab series engaging 73 people in an experiential activities to understand the strengths, best practices, and needs for individual organizations, within:
- Program development and support
- Internal policies and education
- Equity coordination and leadership
April 2021:
Focused on Movement Health and supporting teams and individuals in prioritizing wellness as a daily and ongoing practice.
May 2021-February 2023:
Harnessed insights from the Design Labs into a living guidebook for organizational reference and support.
March 2023-September 2023:
CAB Committee Reviewed the Guidebook and offered additions and suggestions.
Summer 2023:
Retreat in Brooklyn with our youngest coop member, Luna to vision and map Year 5 of our program.
February-September 2024:
Hosted 4 Courageous Queer Futures Retreats, engaging 60 people across 20 organizations in Syracuse, Albany and New York City.
In this political moment, we are witnessing increasing attacks on LGBTQ+ lives and safe spaces, and the reversal of hard-fought-for rights. Now is the time to reflect, align, and strategize our work. Come dream, vision, and deeply exhale with us.
